TRANSMISSION - EVERY FRIDAY
Transmission... the brand new club night that's on everyone's Flaming Lips...
After yet another sell out week, transmission is here this friday to party hard again. In the main room, mashing up band anthems with cutting edge beats and pieces, our ressies will be spinning tunes you'd expect at Sheffield's hottest night out.
Over in Academy 2, 'In Session' celebrates the city's thriving music scene. We're excited that this week will be hosted by Juvenile, with a special appearance from Doorly (Radio1 Essential Mix).

I've played various styles of music for almost 10 years now and indie music has always been a big part of my life. Went to Step On @ Music Factory, Joyrider @ The Leadmill as a youngster. Played at Cigarettes & Alcohol @ Bed (With Clint Boon!).
So that's what I'm gonna be drawing on... mixing up the classics with future classics plus a bit of randomness thrown in for good measure. Top Eleven... In No Order!

Don't call it a comeback; I've been here for years!!!
Ricky started his DJ'ing career started back in 1986, where he played on the now infamous Peoples FM (one of the first Hip-Hop and House pirate radio stations in London). He went on to DJ at the countries first warehouse rave at Lee Film Studios, and began playing at many of London's early house nights in London including Fun City - Busby's, The Buzz Club - Tudor Rose, Ecstatic - Wag, and the Astoria.
Ricky has chosen to stay in Sheffield as he has somewhat become part of the furniture of the Sheffield nightlife and he has managed to bag some of the most prestigious residencies in town including Gatecrasher, Bed-Saturdays, Blessed, Bubblegum, S1 1DJ, and Slummin' at GC1.

David is a 25 year old DJ who has been plying his trade for various nights around the country for the past 6 years now. He can always get a dance floor moving by playing the best in commercial accessible indie music with the odd twist thrown in here and there.

Friday May 9th.
When the rest of club land gets too serious and people would rather stand around like mannequins and pose we give you Juvenile. A night that isn’t big, isn’t hard and isn’t clever, where we always party like its 1999. The best bootlegs, mash ups and random fun give you the sound track to a new Friday night that breaks the rules with a cheeky smile on its face.
